What is hemp oil extract?

Hemp oil extract is the processed version of the nonpsychoactive strain of cannabis family. Hemp still contains many beneficial vitamins, minerals, terpenes, fats, and cannabinoids. The extract is prepared to keep as many of the favorable plant compounds as possible. Our hemp oil is made with plants that have less than 0.3% THC naturally, and CBD  the highest concentration of cannabinoids in our products.

What is CBD (Cannabidiol)?

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis/hemp. It is currently being studied for its effects on inflammation, the immune system, and other vital functions inside the human body.

What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are a group of compounds located in cannabis/hemp. The most well-known cannabinoids are THC and CBD. The plant is estimated to produce at least 113 different cannabinoids, including CBG, CBN, and CBC. The benefit of many of these compounds is still unknown due to limitations on the research of the plant, but constant revelations of new studies are being published daily as more and more research is allowed.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endogenous cannabinoid system, named after the plant that prompted its investigation, is maybe the most vital physiologic structure engaged in building up and keeping up human wellbeing. Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found all through the body: in the cerebrum, organs, connective tissues, and immune cells. In each tissue, the cannabinoid system performs diverse functions, yet the objective is dependably the same: homeostasis, the upkeep of a stable inner condition in spite of changes in the outer state.

What is the difference between THC and CBD?

While both of these plant chemicals are cannabinoids, they have different effects on the body.  THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis. It binds to CB1 receptors (primarily found in the nervous system) which causes the feeling of euphoria or “being high.” CBD (cannabidiol) does not mainly bond to CB1 receptors and may, in fact, contribute to suppressing the THC from binding to the nervous system receptors as readily as they do without CBD.  CBD does not cause psychoactive effects and may have a beneficial symbiosis when used with THC.

Hemp vs. Cannabis

Hemp and cannabis are the same plants with different physical makeups and differences in phytocannabinoid concentrations. Hemp is physically taller and more “tree-like” than cannabis plants. Hemp generally contains low concentrations of THC (less than 0.3%) and is therefore not categorized in the same scheduling as cannabis. Hemp is used for textiles, food, beauty products, and plastics. THC is physically a shorter and more “bush-like” than hemp. It produces large buds or “flowers” which are highly concentrated in THC and consumed by recreational customers and medical patients alike.

What is the difference between Full Spectrum and Isolate products?

Full Spectrum – This is a whole plant hemp oil extract. It is produced to have as many of the plant compounds available naturally in the plant; this includes cannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids along with other plant compounds. Full Spectrum products will have CBD and trace amounts of other cannabinoids, with less than 0.3% THC. Research is now showing that many of these compounds increase the effectiveness of the primary cannabinoids, this is referred to as the “entourage effect,” and since hemp has over 100 different plant compounds, they all may be working together to be more efficient as a whole.

Isolate – Isolate is only going to contain the isolated CBD (Cannabidiol) cannabinoid and contains no THC.
